Know the God your Father

I prayed and asked God to put on my heart what he wanted me to share. I really don’t know how preachers do what they do. To me, it can be very difficult creating new content each week. God took me to 1 Chronicles 28:9 that says “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father; and serve Him with a loyal heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.”

1 Chronicles 28:9 Daily Bible VerseGod is Omnipresent

I feel this verse is so important and has so much context to it. This verse is David’s instruction to Solomon. He lets him know our Lord is omnipresent. God knows your heart and mind, nothing is hidden from Him. People may pretend to be a faithful servant, but God ‘searches all hearts and understands all intent of the thoughts’. He cannot and will not be fooled.

1 Samuel 16:7 Daily Bible Verse

God Knows Your Heart

In 1 Samuel 16:7, it states “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”. You may be able to fool those around you, but God knows your heart. But, He goes in 2 Chronicles 7:14 to state, “If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. It is never too late to repent. Humble yourself and get your pride out of the way.

2 Chronicles 7:14 Daily Bible VerseCrucify your Flesh every day

Our pastor Josh this past Sunday was discussing that if you are dead to yourself then Christ is alive in you, but if you are alive in yourself then Christ is dead in you. We have to die to our self every day. We will always have fleshly desires and temptations from the enemy, but Christ has already defeated those things when He died on the cross for us. Crucify your flesh every day so the holy spirit can live within you.

Revelation 1:8 NLT Daily Bible VerseGod is the Beginning and the End

Humble yourself by submitting to the Lord. Acknowledging that he is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the almighty divine creator. That without Him we are but dust. There is a verse in the bible for every circumstance. The fact a book from written so long ago and it completely relates still today should speak volumes. We will face many challenges in this life, but God assures us with his word that we can have hope through Him when we are hopeless, not to be dismayed or discouraged, and that He is our strength.

Jeremiah 29:11 Daily Bible Verse

God is on Your Side

Allow the many seasons of life to transform you. There will be seasons of joy, happiness, heartbreak, sorrow, devastation, and more. Despite this, you are stronger than any trials you face with God on your side. The bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. God does not wish evil upon us. I’m sure if you can reflect on past trials there are many valuable lessons you learned from it and that you realize how much stronger of a person it made you.

Follow the Commandments

Sometimes God has to break us to build us back up in His image. Follow the Lord’s commandments and walk in all His ways serving Him with all your heart and soul. It’s never too late to serve God. Moses was 120 years old when he died. He was used by God to free Israel when he was 80. There is no age limit on being a faithful servant of God. As long as you are here you should be serving God.

1 Chronicles 28:20 Daily Bible Verse Serve God Outside the Church

Serving God isn’t just going to church once a week, serving God is actively spreading the Gospel and bringing people to Him. More people outside the church need to know about Jesus than inside. It’s hard to make an impact if you only serve God by attending church. Find somewhere to volunteer that will put you in touch with people who need Jesus the most so you can witness to them. If you aren’t social write devotionals, create Bible study plans to share, anything that helps lead others to Jesus.

Give all Glory to God

Pray to God to reveal your calling and go for it. I think you’ll be amazed where it will take you. Don’t be nervous because you’ve got the Holy Spirit backing you up. Let Him lead the way, let him speak through you, yield and speak gospel and truth. Don’t be fearful about witnessing to people because if you pray and approach in love, the Holy Spirit will put on your heart what to speak. Everything you do should be for the glory of God. Let nothing that doesn’t glorify God come from your lips.

Reflection:

God will never lead you to do anything that you cannot do. If you or someone you know needs prayer, submit a prayer request here. I’d love to pray for you.
