Daily Prayer for Strength
Daily Prayer for Strength
Dear Lord,
I come to you today in need of strength; the kind of strength that only you can provide. I feel myself growing more tired and weary each day. It’s as if every problem is one more weight on my shoulders that I cannot bear.
I need your strength at this moment in my life more than ever. My weakness comes when I try to carry all of life’s burdens on my own. When I try out of my own strength to “fix” everything, but I know that You are the only one that can fix these problems. Give me the strength to withstand the trials in my life. Bless me with the wisdom to know when and what to surrender to you.
I need you for I know I am weak. Isaiah says when we trust you, we will find new strength. We will soar high like wings on eagles and will run and not grow weary. We will walk and not faint. I continue to be tired and weary; bless me with the uplifting and strength that you mention in your word.
Give me the strength to overcome temptation, protect my loved ones, fight my daily battles, and resist the enemy. Through you all things are possible. Help me to acknowledge you in all of my ways for you are where my strength comes from. Make it a constant reminder that I hold every thought captive to you and that my mind is renewed through your spirit.
I will go forward leaning into you for strength because…
you say I am Loved.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
I am chosen.
I am dead to myself and alive to the power of God.
Because you sit on the throne now and forever, I find comfort knowing your strength, is my strength.
In your name I pray,
Amen
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
Psalms 121
