Prayer for Guilt

Jesus, I come to you today with a heavy heart and a clouded mind of guilt. The enemy tries to consume my thoughts and feelings with regret and guilt at every turn. I ask for your forgiveness for the wrong I have done and for having sinned against you.
In your word, in John it says, “if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. I confess all of my sins now, and past, asking for your strength to fight the enemy’s attacks when the enemy tries to make me feel guilty and unforgiven.
Your word is truth. I ask for your help in standing on this truth when these thoughts creep in when the world and the enemy try to make me believe I deserve to carry this heavy guilt. Romans says there is no condemnation for those in Christ. I am in you and your Holy Spirit is within me. May I strive to live my life for you every day. Further in Romans, it says we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Thank you for your new mercies every morning for when I continue to fall short of your glory. James tells us if we submit ourselves to you and resist the devil, he will flee from us. Lord, I submit myself to you now so that the devil will flee along with this guilt I carry. I believe you and your word. I believe I have repented, and I have been forgiven.
Therefore, I will no longer allow the enemy to torment my mind and spirit with these feelings of guilt. For when I gave my life to you, I became a new creation, and my past has been cleansed.
When those old feelings start to creep in, please allow me to remember this prayer and your word.
I am chosen.
I am loved.
I am forgiven.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
And because you sit on the throne today, and always, I am fulfilled and set free of the bondage of guilt.
